We held our first UNITE event of the year last Saturday (28th Jan) in the Dining Room of the United Christian Broadcasters at Hanchurch. What a joy at each new meeting to see fresh faces coming along to see what God can do when Christian brothers and sisters come together in UNITY!! We have had lots of feedback so far – all of it extremely positive. One dear friend came for prayer at the end of the meeting suffering pain and distress because of reflux problems from a hiatus hernia. The following day she phoned to say that she was feeling “wonderful”! Because of the medication she had been taking her hands were always cold. Immediately after being prayed for her husband remarked how “hot” her hands were! There are so many people to thank for their help and offers of help: The RCCG Nigerian Singing Group who led the praise songs were ‘awesome’; Jon & Heather Bellamy (Cross Rhythms) who gave their testimonies and Jim Cronin who interviewed them gave us great encouragement in the Lord; Barbara Whitehouse (and friends Marcelle & Jean) made the premises available and looked after us all. Thank you all of you. We give God glory and thanks for His very evident presence throughout the meeting.

Our next ‘UNITE’ event will be at 7pm Saturday evening, 25th February. Gerald & Hazel Gleaves just can’t wait to share what God’s been doing in their lives! Other testimonies too; prayer for all who need it; some inspiring music; free refreshments and admission. This meeting will be held in the Cornerstone Community Centre, Mill Street, Silverdale ST5 6PF. Try and make it – and bring a friend!

Let's keep praying for a spirit of UNITY in and between our churches. Let's do as Jesus commands: love one another so that men and women will know that we are His disciples. Then let's reach out into our needy community! May revival start with US – in Stoke-on-Trent!!!

Here are some people who really need your prayers:
-
James Adams – the 18 year old from Swan Bank who has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumour of the brain. God is able to give this young man total healing.
-
A young lady called Kim whose life has been very badly affected by drugs. Pray for healing in her body, soul and spirit and for her parents to be able to cope.
-
Paul Swift suffering with agonising sciatica and unable to work – pray for bodily healing and that he would receive Jesus as his Lord & Saviour
-
My son, Chris Barber. After many years of drugs, alcohol, prison and rejection of the Gospel, Chris gave his life to Jesus last May. At 37 years of age he has recently been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. Please pray that God would heal his body and keep him in his new-found faith

UNITE. Please keep praying for us. These events have been so well received by many local Christians. Many want to help and give support. Pray that we would be guided by the Holy Spirit and go forward only as directed by Him and that many lives would be changed as a result.
